About me

Hello readers and lithic enthusiasts,

my name is Markus Siegeris. I'm a graduate student from the University of Tübingen, Germany. I studied 'Ur- und Frühgeschichte und Archäologie des Mittelalters' (Prehistory and Early History and Archaeology of the Middle Ages) with a spezialisation on the subject of 'Ältere Urgeschichte und Quartärökologie' (Older Prehistory and Quaternary Ecology).

Since my childhood I collected stones, minerals and gemstones. Because of that I studied my hobby. This homepage was created as a 'online publication' of my raw material collection and as an addition to other existing homepages with the same subject. I aim not on completeness in my collection but I always try to fill gaps.

A lot of pieces on my homepage are from my own raw material collection. They are not special marked. Pieces from the collection of the Institute of 'Ur- und Frühgeschichte und Archäologie des Mittelalters, Abteilung für Ältere Urgeschichte und Quartärökologie' of the University of Tübingen are especialy marked. I try to swap and buy rawmaterials from especially Europe but also from all over the world. So I'm really glad if somebody can offer me pieces I don't have in my collection or on this homepage.
